What Is a Mental Health Ombudsman?
 
An individual who investigates
 and addresses reported concerns, while advocating to assure the highest quality of life for individuals with        mental illness
 and their families.
 
    
 
 
 
 
 
      The Mental Health Ombudsman Program is designed to advocate for the rights of individuals with mental illness and their families, to improve their quality of life.  Services are available throughout Wyoming to consumers, families, professionals, and others advocating on behalf of individuals with a mental illness.  To assist the Ombudsman, a statewide network of volunteer assistant Ombudsmen help provide hands-on self advocacy assistance.
 
        Client confidentiality is maintained in accordance with State and Federal Law, and case files are also assigned numbers to further assure the confidentiality of client data
